Why FlyingDawnMarie?

Hi friends! I’ve seen a bunch of new faces here recently, so I wanted to take a moment to re-introduce myself.

• My name is Dawn Marie (duh😉)

• My day job is teaching aerial arts in and around Los Angeles, CA.

Fun Fact...I’ve represented the US at an international professional aerial tournament held in Hong Kong.

• I love to travel with my husband and our pup!

• I love weekend road trips and international adventures.

Fun Fact... Nate and I will be traveling to Spain, France and Italy in May! 😃

• I grew up singing and figure skating in Iowa, and followed my dream of moving to NYC when I turned 18.

• I never planned to live on the west coast, but over a decade ago I was offered a job in LA that was too good to pass up.

Fun fact...my first job in Los Angeles was working for someone who was filming The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

• Outside of all things Aerial I find joy in my faith, family and friends.

• My greatest encouragement comes from the love of Jesus, and it’s my joy to share that encouragement with others. 

Fun fact...the “Flying” in FlyingDawnMarie was inspired by a bible verse I love...well, I love a lot of bible verses actually, lol!

• I love ice cream and smoothies and every animal I’ve ever seen!

• I may have a slight sunglass and scarf addiction...and I might own one too many bags!

• I LOVE being in nature, and if I can’t be on the water or by the beach, you’ll find me looking for the closest mountain.

• I’m quite content spending time in the desert or a forest.

Fun fact...one of my favorite outdoor activities is reading a good book while listen to the sounds of nature around me!
